So yesterday for the 1st time since we moved, it stopped raining long enough for me to get the toys out of the garage.....

The Pontiac fired up straight away, seeing as it hasn't been run since October, and not even charged up, I was happy!!

I left it running in the drive for a while, then loaded the hound up & went for a run round the block, as I came back, neighbor across the street was getting out of his friends truck, he's about 75 or so, and his eyes lit up when he saw the '51.

I pulled up & him & his buddy walked over & proceeded to get all misty eyed over it, he saw it was a Chieftain & told me I was "Livin in high cotton" driving a Chieftain...whatever that means?

He told me he had always wanted a Pontiac, but couldn't afford one when he was a kid, and had to make do with Chevy's

They liked the bike too.

When I'm driving the TBird, it's always more satisfying when an old-timer gives me the thumbs-up.
